Scarecrows at the Library

Join Levi E. Coe Library and Mid-Lea Garden Club–Create a scarecrow for the display at the library from October 16th through November 1st. Contact the library at 860-349-3857 for registration information. Individuals, organizations, businesses, and clubs are all welcome. Come join us for autumn fun!

Thursday Night Book Club

Join us on Thursday, September 30th at 5 PM to discuss Anxious People by Fredrik Backman in Library Hall. Copies of this title are available at the library.

And of course, weather permitting, Storytime will be held on the library lawn Wednesday mornings at 10:30 AM. If you are unable to attend Storytime, catch Miss Vicki reading a story on YouTube Wednesday evening.

Recycling at the Library

Look for the red bucket in the library’s upper lobby! Do you have any old pens, markers, applesauce pouches, or toothpaste tubes? Sara Hofferd has placed a drop off space for these recyclables and more. If you’re wondering if your plastic items can be left in the red bucket, check https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/brigades

One Book, One Community

Join us Thursday, October 21st at 6:30 PM via Zoom. The Levi E. Coe Library is a recipient of the American Library Association Libraries Transforming Communities grant to host a One Book, One Community conversation using the book, Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson.
